Under eye dark circles – reasons and remedies

After a certain age our lifestyle changes and we fail to maintain a healthy living. Stress, lack
of sleep, junk foods, alcohol consumptions, not doing physical activities and genetic
problems are the major reasons for having under eye dark circles.

Today we will discuss about some under eye dark circles treatment that our mother and
aunties have been using for long. Few of these will also serve us as the home remedies for under eye wrinkles.

Slice of cucumber to reduce under eye dark circles

Cucumber always helps to reduce skin pigmentation. Just cut 2 slices of cucumber, you can cool it by keeping it in the fridge or you can just sit on your comfortable most chair and put the slices on the eye lids and relax for 15 minutes.

As another process you can crush some cucumber and make around 2 table spoon of juice, mix it to some rose water. Dip two cotton balls in it and place it on the eyes for 15 minutes. Rinse it off with lukewarm water. Repeat it daily.

Under eye dark circles

Tomato juice and lemon 

Mix 2 table spoon of tomato juice with 1 table spoon of lemon juice and a pinch of turmeric. Dip 2 cotton balls in it,and rest it on your eyes for 15 minutes. Make sure the cotton balls are not over loaded with the mixture, other wise there is chance of getting it in your eyes.

Potato juice

When it comes to reduce darkness and pigmentation potato juice is always the hero ingredient. Take 1 table spoon of potato juice, mix ½ table spoon of aloevera gel to it and also a pinch of turmeric. Apply it on the dark circles with cotton balls or brush or your ring finger. Keep it for 15 minutes, then wash off with lukewarm water. Don’t ever forget to moisturize your skin after the process. Repeat it daily.

Cold tea bags

Tea reduces dark patches on the skin. Dip 2 tea bags in water for 2 to 3 minutes. Put it in the fridge to get it could. Put it on your eyes and let it rest for 15 minutes. Rinse it off with lukewarm water and moisturize your skin.

Raw milk

Milk is known to have skin lightening properties since ages. Dip cotton balls into cold raw milk mixed with some rose water. Rest it on your eyes for 15 minutes and relax. Rinse it off with lukewarm water and you canapply some aloevera gel if you have dry to normal skin.

Oliv oil and Almond oil

Oliv oil and Almond oil contain lots of vitamin e. Take few drops of oliv oil and Almond oil together. Apply on the eye area in a circular motion, clockwise and anticlockwise for 3 to 5 minutes each. Pat off the excess oil with a clean and dry towel. Do it at night before going to sleep so you can keep the moisturizer on the skin. This will help to reduce appearance of  wrinkles around the eye area. You should include this in your night regime in your late 20s to avoid signs of aging.

Mint leaves

Under eye dark circles are caused due to less blood flow in the area. Mint cause a tingling sensation resulting in increased blood flow in the area. Crush some mint leaves into a paste like consistency. Apply it under your eyes, leave it for 15 minutes and wash it off with cold water.

Repeat any of the process that suits your skin type or alternatively use any of the process daily. I would recommend you to start taking care of your eye area even before wrinkles or under eye dark circles appear on your skin to retain the youthfulness of your skin for long. Start using some good eye cream in your 20s to keep the healthy look of your eyes.
